The Bridge of Flowers in Shelburne Falls is a beautiful flower garden on an arched footbridge across the Deerfield River. The bridge, built in 1908, was originally a trolly bridge, and also carried a main water line. In 1927, the trolley was decommisioned, but the bridge remained because of the water line, and a decision was made to turn it into a garden. The Shelburne Fall Women's Club and a paid gardener maintain the garden from Spring to Fall. |
